JLaw- One To Watch

It's award season and all eyes are on Hollywood to see who will win, and more importantly, what they will be wearing. Whilst some red carpet ensembles will leave you feeling 'meh' and others will leave you wondering how on earth their stylist let them out of the house (yes, we're talking to you Helena Bonham Carter), a blessed few will nail it.

But who to watch? Our pick for this season is Jennifer Lawrence. And not because she took home a Golden Globe for her awesome performance in an equally awesome movie- Silver Linings Playbook. We remember the moment she stepped out of the limo and onto the red carpet at the 2011 Academy Awards and the crowd (including Giuliana Rancic and the crew at Fashion Police) gasped in unison.

Jennifer gets it. And she always gets it right. Whether it's down to precision styling (in which case we'd like the number of her stylist) or down to her own sense of style and fashionstincts (that's 'fashion instinct'- you like what we did there?), we can't wait to see what she wears to the Oscars and how she struts it on the red carpet. This is why she is our 'One to Watch'.

See how Jennifer rocks the red carpet.

Ode to Isabel, Props to Bey

Money can't buy you happiness. But it can buy you Isabel Marant heeled sneakers and that's good enough for me. Desperately coveted by every 'it' girl and her toy sized dog, impostor versions are popping up on every high street corner. They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but I'm not sure that I (and Isabel Marant for that matter) agree. My advice? Stick to the real deal. For comfort, texture, design, and colours, legit Isabel Marants come up trumps on all counts. Plus, nothing beats the satisfaction of knowing you're sashaying around in the same kicks as Beyonce. And the best part? Instant street cred. And that, my friends, is priceless.

Tee Party

If you hadn't noticed, designer tees are big news right now. Balenciaga, Celine, Givenchy and Rodarte have all come to the party, serving up a combination of vivid graphics and serene simplicity. If you're one of the lucky few to get a piece of the action (these babies sell out faster than a Lady Gaga show at Madison Square Garden), the next challenge is how to wear and style your tee. The brilliance of tees is that almost anything goes, and following these simple rules should keep you out of trouble and make you the envy of the tee party:

1. If the print is graphic or busy (e.g Givenchy rottweiler or Balenciaga weird trip tee), keep accessories to a minimum and keep the rest of your outfit simple. Leather pants/skirts, denim cut-offs or black tights.

2. If the print is mono-colour or simple (e.g. Rodarte or Celine), pile on the neck and arm candy. Think neon, bright colours, bling. And as to the rest of your outfit- anything goes. Bottoms can be either simple (as above) or loud, graphic or floral,

Schooled in Schouler

Never heard of Proenza Schouler? It's time to step out from under that rock and into a world of beautifully structured designer threads and perfectly crafted handbags in a kaleidoscope of colours, skins and textures. I too was once unenlightened, until I unsuspectingly sashayed over to the Proenza Schouler stand at Bergdorf's. Heaven. With a palette of colours that Rainbow Brite would envy, these bags have it all- style, practicality and that indefinable x-factor. With their unforgettable images seared into my brain, I started to notice them on the streets of New York and in the tabloids. Arm swag for the 'IT' girls at Fashion Week, A-Listers and celebutantes alike. They get it. And I get it. Do you?

But what sets Proenza Schouler apart from the rest? Take a look and share your thoughts.

Warning- the following pictures may lead to obsession. Proceed with caution.
