Mainly associated with evening wear, sequins are making an impact in daylight as well. And they are every bit as brilliant and at home in sunlight as they are under the lights of the disco ball.

Gold Rush
If you're anything like us, the thought of adorning yourself in gold Cleopatra style was almost as palatable as downing a lukewarm cup of coffee or wearing white jeggings. When asked what precious metal we prefer, our response was always invariably "platinum", quickly followed by "white gold". But times have changed and gold gold has made a come back (although for some of you it never left). But before you rush out to Zammels or your nearest high street jeweller, stop and take note- not all that glitters is gold. Ergo, be selective with your choices. Go for bold statement pieces- a chunky Celine i.d necklace, a YSL arty ring or a Cartier love bracelet. Limit your gold accessories to no more than two to three per outfit and you'll have this trend wrapped around your fingers. Literally.

The Evolution of Gaga
Lady Gaga (or Mother Monster as her 'little monsters' refer to her) started her career in latex onesies and cheap wigs. Her special effects consisted of flicking a lighter to a can of hairspray and using it as a flame thrower. Don't try this at home kids. Unlike her makeshift flame thrower, Gaga's career is still burning hot and brightly and with each offering of lyrical and musical genius comes a whacky parade of bat sh!t crazy costumes (which, among many other reasons, is why we love her so much).
We've watched keenly as Gaga graduated from home made tramp couture to haute couture. Draping herself in Chanel pearls, lady suits and hats Philip Tracey would envy (no doubt, some of his handy work), Gaga has evolved, drawing inspiration from the runways of Paris and Milan. And while there will always be a place for cracked out costumes on stage and at the odd fragrance launch, we just love Gaga's new high end threads and can't wait to see what she'll step out in next. Whatever her outfit choice, Gaga can do no wrong in our eyes.
What do you think? Check out her evolution and share your thoughts.
