it's tricky
Called the 'Canadian Tuxedo' for its earlier fashion faux pas, the 'joufit' (jean outfit) underwent a revival during 2010 but now in 2012 this tricky trend has divided opinion out in the fashion sphere. Without risking looking like a sad reject from the late 90's Irish pop girl group B*Witched, I believe that denim, if worn with different shades and textures that complement each other, are totally doable. A light chambray teamed with dark skinnies or cut-offs should keep you from being arrested by the fashion police. Anything too matchy matchy can rest with the horrifying memories of the 80s and 90s and ex DD couple, Britney & Justin
